The You in Me (A Virtuous Woman - The Good Wife)
(Proverbs 31: 10-31, Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband does safely trust in her, So that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants ships; She brings her food from afar. She rises also while it is yet night, and gives meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considers a field and buys it, with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She girds her lions with strength and strengthen her arms. She perceives that her merchandise is good: Her candle goes not out by night. She lays her hands to the spindle and her hands holds the distaff. She Stretches out her hand to the poor, yea, she reaches forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet. Verse 29, Many daughters have done virtuously, but you excel them all. Favour is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised.)
First and foremost, no one is perfect and this woman here in the bible might be portrayed like that. I believe that she is not perfect just the bible shows us her qualities. This scripture a lot of woman loves it even though I feel majority do not understand it. This post I call it The You in Me. Inspired on how God created man. We all know that Adam came first then Eve was taken out of Adam.
Before Even came out, Adam was walking everywhere with Eve. Hence I say The You in Me. I want to take this moment not to talk on behalf of other man but myself. This virtuous woman is a wife, mother and a business woman. She is a fashion designer and a wine maker. She trades her business as the bible says, she brings her food from afar. She takes care of her family and she gives to the poor. She is wise and intelligent. The woman that you know you need to be with, you can feel her within you.
This woman`s qualities are an example of the qualities I have been praying for in a woman. Remember, I won`t be able to attract or see this qualities if I did not have them myself. You cannot pray to God to give you a wise woman while you are not wise. That is impossible. Birds of the same colour, fly together. The moment you sit and start engaging in a conversation, you can tell what qualities a person has. The more you spent time with them, the more they get revealed.
Every word is followed by actions. Hence Jesus warned his disciples about the Pharisees that they do not practise what they preach. This virtuous woman was a woman of action. She understood all her role very well. Her husband safely trusted in her and she brought honour to him. For you to have a woman who can make other man respect you, that is impressive. And for me, it is not about the money she can make but her playing her role as a wife very well. I always tell my fellow ladies that as a helper, you need to understand that role.
If your going to help, what tools will you carry to help with. Or you will just go there and expect tools be given you? The woman was a fashion designer. She bought a field to plant a vineyard to create a wine business. She understood what tools she has. As a man I always look for this in a woman. Every one is born with a gift and talent to use in this life. Understanding that will make you be effective in life and in a relationship/marriage you find yourself in.
Her children called her blessed. She was a good mother. Business was not everything to her hence she never neglected her children. She had a husband to please and children to raise. This woman understood the principle of living a balanced life. It does not mean everything went according to plan. She had challenges to deal with. She was good to her maidens and she was a giver. This sounds to good to be true but this, she can only accomplish all with God in her life and a husband who loves her and supports her.
When God cursed a woman, not only he said through child bearing you will give birth in pain, but he said also, your desires will be to your husband. Every woman, longs to be married and have a husband. No matter how much you can tell yourself that, you do not need a man, you might as well say the is no gravity. I understand that my fellow brothers can be jerks but getting to a point of saying you do not need a man, my sister your just lying to yourself.
I remember God one time said this to me, a woman`s pride is in her home. Her husband and her children. Man`s pride is in the money they make and the cars they drive. The virtuous woman`s husband, the bible says he is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land. They did not know him by cars or the money he has, but by his wife. She turned a house they bought into a loving and warm home. All she did was for her household and for her family to be good.
I am not a fan where I love to play around breaking woman`s hearts. I am not saying I never broke a woman`s heart but I am saying playing around is not my thing. Yes, I do get tempted just like every other man do. I love woman too but I respect them. I wish I could marry all of them but that is not possible for me. I once listened to Bishop T.D Jake's HE MOTIONS sermon, recommended by a beautiful lady I love so much. He said something so pro-found that the devil is not after woman to kill them but to trap them. Trap them in anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, pain and loss. By going around killing their man, fathers and their brothers.
The one that he does the most is making man walk away. There are many reasons to this one where man can argue that some woman can be too much. Every one has issues and we have to make the best out of them by dealing with them. Especially when you are planning to go into a new relationship. Deal with your issues. The virtuous woman was not going to accomplish this if she did not have a loving husband. I am a big fan of my woman`s talents. I always look forward to know what she loves and what she wants to achieve. Because at the end she is the You in You, the You in ME.
They are the bones of our bones, the flesh of our flesh. They can only know true love from us because that is where it will only come from. They can only become the best God created them to be if we do not become a distraction to them. At the end all that she achieves is for you. I look at it this way, having a wife is like having a duplicate. What I would not achieve on my right, she can. We love to say only if I can cut myself in two I will be able to do things. Well, God did that for you. He has cut you in two. The You(Adam) in Me(Eve).
